A man suffering chest pains on a fishing boat, about 110km north of Normanton was saved by the the RACQ LifeFlight helicopter.
The mission took in excess of eight hours; requiring four stops, two refuels and included almost five hours of flying.
The helicopter airlifted the man to Delta Down Station where they were met by the Royal Flying Doctors Service who continued airlifting the man to Mount Isa Hospital.
He travelled in a stable condition.
