On Saturday May 5, the Gregory Downs Jockey Club will be holding a 6-card race meet with bookies in attendance, fashions of the field and the Gregory Gift Footrace.
Breakfast at the racecourse on Sunday May 6 morning will provide participants of the canoe race with enough energy to master the 42km marathon.
Mount Isa’s North West Canoe Club are hosting the canoe race and you can register online until Friday April 27, 5pm.
The long course classic and the recreational short course offer prize money and random prize draws and after navigating the raging river you could feel rather hungry so be sure to have lunch on the banks of river with the Jockey Club.
