Cloncurry Shire Council have agreed to accept a retired Jumbo Drill Rig from Ernest Henry Mining to be put on display at a location to be determined.

The rig is 13 metres long, 5m wide, 2.9m high and weighs 21,000 kgs.
Glencore told Council they would clean, repaint and deliver the retired gear to site required could also assist to drain any fluids and tyres.
The retired rig is available from April and it would be up to council to build slabs, platforms, fencing and signage or other as required to ensure safety requirements are met.
At its meeting in Dajarra last week Cloncurry Shire Council resolved to accept in principal the donation and would ask for Ernest Henry Mining assistance to construct the machinery stand at a location to be determined.
Council have allocated $40,200 in 2018/2019 financial year for installation costs of the drill rig.
