Thousands of dollars gifted to Blue Care has been put towards a new playground at the Mount Isa Christian Outreach Centre.
Blue Care multi services manager Helen Davis said the new equipment was paid for with $16,000 of donations.
“The local community has paid for this,” Ms Davis said.
“Our staff who come here to the Christian Outreach Centre said they needed new equipment and we were not able to install it where we originally planned.
“It fits in beautifully here and our clients will be able to come and utilise it here as well,” she said.
Pastor Keith Christie said the new playground was a “God send”.
“We have been praying for a playground for a while now,” Pastor Christie said.
“We have about 300 people through our doors each week and I know there will be kids playing on this day and night, seven days a week.
“We want to say a big thank you to Blue Care and the community.”
