Melbourne’s Storey Players have a Cloncurry Council grant to spend a week at Dajarra to develop a performance “The Untold Story of Dajarra” with local schoolchildren in September. Simon Storey said they performed their show last year in Dajarra and conducted drama workshops with the kids and were so moved they decided to return and spend more time developing drama skills with them. “The ‘Untold Story’ comes from our Burke & Wills investigation and the John King story which hardly anyone had heard.”
