“As a very small and dedicated committee we really love seeing the entries rolling in on the Sunday prior to the Show,” the Society said.
The Horticulture Section promises to be flush with colour and some great vegetables, fruit and herbs. This year the category of “Garden/Sun Hat” has been added - so, get your hat with the character or decorate a lovely sunhat to be in the running to win.
For the little ones, the ever popular “Grass Heads” and “Fruit and Veg Art Display” are still included; but this year - Steward Julie has added the “Fairy or Adventure Garden” section for those who have great imaginations.
The Cookery section is calling on all fudge makers out there to enter their best recipe.
The popular photography section has included the “Drone” section again, along with new sections to include “Weather”, “Action or Sports” and “Travel” photography.

A new event is the Haystack Challenge - where teams of three need to stack 15 bales of hay into six tiers.
The “Tiny Tots Mount Isa” is on again, covering ages up to pre-teen. Entry fee proceeds go to the Humpty Dumpty Foundation.
Ma’amselle Claire will leave a cloud of bubbles where ever she goes, Jack & Jack Jesters are goofy mischief-makers, energetic and colourful, who love playing pranks and looking for playmates, Manoeuvre Stilt Performers and Bob from Troppo Magic will be there to amaze and mystify.
The Animal Farm will be a huge favourite this year. The wonderful crew from Amusements Plus are bringing along their Racing Pigs and the wonderful Animal Farm with all the gorgeous little animals is proud brought to the Show by Coates Hire Mount Isa.
There will be camp oven demonstrations and the PBR - “the toughest sport on dirt” will be held each night and with great music by Golden Guitar Winner Brad Butcher.
