Both sides posted strong wins at the soccer grounds on Saturday in Round 6 of this year’s competition.
Atlas were too good for Isaroos as they won 5-2 while Bulls kept up the pace with a 4-0 demolition of struggling premiers Parkside.
The results leave the two winning sides neck and neck at the top of the ladder on 13 point.
Isaroos and Parkside have four points each, a long way behind.
There was better news for the Parkside B-Graders who were too good for Isaroos B in an entertaining afternoon clash.
Both defences struggled but it was Parkside’s day in the end and they ran out 5-2 winners.
In the other game Atlas B put an end to Cloncurry’s good form with a 3-0 win.
Corcordia had the bye this weekend.
The ladder after six rounds is tight but Atlas lead the way with nine points.
They are followed by Parkside and Cloncurry, a point behind on eight.
Concordia have six points and Isaroos bring up the rear on three.
Results were not available from the ladies competition where on the ladder Parkside (9 points), lead from Tigers and Cloncurry (6 points each), Isaroos (3 points) and Bulls (0 points).
This weekend Isaroos play Bulls in the ladies while Tigers play Cloncurry.
Parkside ladies have the bye.
In men’s action in A Grade traditional rivals Atlas and Parkside go head to head with Atlas favoured to win on current form though it would be expected the premiers will raise their game for this one against the side they beat in 2017’s decider.
