Nicole Hall’s three-year-old daughter suffers from egg, peanut and milk allergies.
She had five anaphylactic reactions before the age of two.
Ms Hall said coping with your own allergies or your child’s can be tough.
“I am lucky that I have so much support from my friends and family who live here in Mount Isa, but a lot of people here do not have anyone,” Ms Hall said.
“I started up a Facbook page called Allergy Support Mount Isa or ASMI, about a week ago and it already has 18 members.
“It was really overwhelming to receive so much support in the first week, it proved that there was a need for this in the community.”
Ms Hall said it was a way for people to share their experiences living with allergies and trade tips about treatments.
