The whole community was invited to the skate park on Friday afternoon to join in on old time games like sack races and tunnel ball.
Each year National Reconciliation Week, held between May 27 and June 3, is dedicated to growing respectful relationships between Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and other Australians.
Eddie Hollingsworth, Noel Sarmardin, Tegan Ferris, Jules Goodfellow, Sharon Condren and Alvin Hava helped to coordinate the event.
Reconciliation Australia said acknowledging the history of Indigenous Australia, pre- and post-colonisation, is “essential to our reconciliation journey”.
On Friday, residents were able to enjoy a free barbecue and fun and games to mark the continual struggle towards reconciliation.
