A MAN is helping police with their investigations after two car fires at Mornington.

The incident happened about 12.30pm on Wednesday at Burke Street.
A Queensland Police Services spokesperson said police believed flames from a burning car may have sparked another vehicle to catch fire.
Nearby riverbank may have also been set alight during the incident.
No charges have yet been laid and investigations continue, the spokesperson said.
A crime scene was declared after the fires but police have since ended their investigations at the site.
A Queensland Fire and Emergency Services spokesperson said both cars were doused by crew with water after emergency calls were received.
It is understood paramedics were also dispatched.
The police spokesperson said the man helping police was taken to hospital after the incident.
