On Tuesday July 17 Cloncurry Naidoc has its Under Fives Day with plenty going on for the tiny tots and their carers.
Families are invited to a fun morning of play and activities to celebrate Naidoc Week in the Curry.
The event will be on at the Cloncurry Neighbourhood Centre at 57 Sheaffe Street and will be held from 9.30am to noon.
There will be messy play, arts and crafts and reading areas. The event is free and there will be a free barbecue thanks to St Joseph’s Catholic School.
Organising committee member Jo Moore from Centacare North Queensland said it was part of an action-packed week of Naidoc events in Cloncurry.
Ms Moore said the week would start on Sunday July 15 with a flag raising ceremony.
“Then on the Monday (July 16) we have the elders lunch and on Tuesday the Under Fives Day,” Ms Moore said.
“On Wednesday we have the careers expo at the Cloncurry Community Precinct from 9.30am to 2pm, on Thursday we have the Talent Quest in the park.”
The week wraps up with the community march on Friday, then the sports day on Saturday with the gala dinner that night.
