A teenage boy has been airlifted from an airstrip on a remote property south of Mount Isa, after he was injured in a motorcycle accident in Thursday.

He was trying to avoid hitting a kangaroo and lost control of the bike.
He was transported to the airstrip, where he was met by the RACQ LifeFlight Rescue Helicopter and flown to Mount Isa Hospital.
