First-time pairing of Kirra White and Liz Jakeman upset with an accurate performance earning the DSI Underground Gross Champions trophy in the women’s foursomes. White and Jackman’s strong gross score of 91 edged out rivals by one stroke. The Mount Isa Mines Gross Runners-up trophy went to Angie Sciascia and Auretta Perrin for carding an equally impressive 92.
In the handicap department mother and daughter team Eva and Alison Gordon carded an impressive 70.5 to take home the Duchess Road Automotive Nett Trophy.
Michelle Cullen and Jackie Thinee were awarded Red Lantern Nett Runners-up trophy carding a 71 nett.
In Sunday’s Open Mixed Foursomes event Matt Briant and Kirra White took out the Isa Equipment Hire Open Gross Champions trophy with an impressive 81 off the stick. Angie Sciascia and Ian Brown recorded an 84 gross to claim runner up.
Husband and wife teams Domenico and Michelle Cullen, Craig and Nikki Mills dominated the handicap division by both returning an impressive 68.5 nett.
After a countback was completed the Duchess Road Automotive Nett winner’s trophy was awarded to the Cullen’s and the Irish Club Runners Up trophy went to the Mill’s.

Saturday: Angie Sciascia (2nd), Kirra White (5th), Alison Gordon (14th). Liz Jakeman (16) and Auretta Perrin (17th , 18th).
Sunday: Jos Pouesi (2nd ), Chris Thinee (5th ), Margie McDonald (8th), Michelle Cullen (10th), Tom Fangrath (11 th ) and Ronnie Corstiaans (14th).
This weekend competition acted as a perfect warm-up for all the players before this week’s Open competition starting on Thursday July 19.
