Three home fires in the space of four days have kept Queensland Fire and Emergency Service crews busy over Rodeo week and Police say they were deliberately lit.

Acting Detective Inspector Dave Barron said they are treating them as suspicious.
“We are exploring if they are linked in anyway however there is nothing to say they are at the moment,” Acting Detective Inspector Barron said.
The latest fire on Monday August 13 has been resolved and the person dealt with under the Youth Justice Act
“Scientific experts from the police were flown in from Brisbane and a QFES investigator to examine the scenes of each fire.
“We are reviewing the forensic evidence that has come out of those investigations in the two outstanding cases,” he said.
On Friday August 10 at 4.30am two QFES crews arrived at a unit which was well alight on Kaeser Road in Pioneer.
The fire was in the ceiling so after an initial search of the premises which revealed the dwelling to be empty, crews set about extinguishing the flames.
On Saturday August 11 four QFES crews were called out to Deighton Street at 10.06pm.
The house was unoccupied at the time and completely ablaze when crews arrived at the scene.
A spokesperson from Queensland Police Services said the road was blocked off while fire crews fought to extinguish the blaze. The road was reopened just before midnight.
Fire destroyed a house on Darling Crescent in Sunset on Monday night August 13 after Emergency crews were called to the address shortly after 10.30pm.
Police said the occupants were able to get out of the house safely and no one was injured.
Acting Detective Inspector Barron said they are doing a review of all reported suspicious fires in the region that are outstanding over the last year."
That’s not to say there’s a link in them all but it is a serious offence.”
“It’s more property damage we are zoning in on.”
If there’s somebody lighting them then we definitely need to jump on top of it.”
