McCarthy’s Newsagency in West Street sold the lucky ticket which no-one had claimed the winnings for until now.
Tattslotto spokesman Matt Hart said the lucky unregistered ticket holder would be $9,433.15 richer but wasn’t aware of it.
“However the prize winner has now claimed their bi win,” Mr Hart said.
“When a ticket is unregistered, it means we have no way of contacting the lucky winner so we encourage anyone who has an entry to always check their tickets as soon as possible.”
McCarthy’s Newsagency shop assistant Rosie said they were excited to have someone win with a ticket through their Newsagency.
Million dollar dreams come true every week and an upcoming lotto draw offers $4 million on Saturday August 25 although the odds of winning division 1 are 8,145,060:1.
“All you need is the six winning numbers,” Rosie said
