Auretta Perrin and Leila Cashmore claimed the Club Foursomes Championships title during the Ladies Competition at the Mount Isa Golf Club.

Held on Saturday and Sunday, Perrin and Cashmore’s 196 secured the win with a slim margin of two strokes in the ladies last major championship event for the year claiming the Duchess Road Automotive trophy.
Heading into the final round on Sunday the winning tandem were trailing day one leaders Alison and Eva Gordon by 2 shots.
With golf conditions changing overnight and strong south easterly winds making the going tough Perrin and Cashmore held their cool and produced excellent tee and fairway shots to end the day four shots inside their rivals score to claim the title.
Mother and daughter team of Eva and Alison Gordon were awarded the runner up Jays Real Estate trophy with a final round score of 198.
In the handicap section of competition, Judy Fangrath and Prue Dunstan secured the win with a score of 152 nett total to take home the Buffalo Club trophy.
Hot on their heels were Liz Jakeman & Margie McDonald claiming second in the handicap division with a nett total of 154 to take home the B and D Crew trophy.
The day one nett award was won by pair Glenda Fietz and Liz Debney, while duo Michelle Cullen and Nikki Mills had the strongest nett on day two.
The Bell and Moir sponsored nearest to the pins on Saturday went to Prue Dunstan (2), Alison Gordon (5) and on Sunday the pin shots were won by Eva Gordon (2 & 14), Nikki Mills (5), Margie McDonald (10), Ulla Allen (11) and Liz Jakeman (17)
Earlier in the week new comer Danielle Burns claimed Wednesday’s Stableford event taking home the Topfire Constructions trophy.
Burns stellar 38 points made her the outright winner on the day edging out her rivals by 5 points.
Runner up was eventually claimed by Ulla Allen after a countback was required when she Liz Jakeman and Julie Dane all carded 33 points.
Burns and Allen’s accuracy was rewarded when they took all pin shots on offer. Burn’s taking hole 5 and Allen taking 14 and 17.
