Tennant Creek police have arrested a 33-year-old male in relation to grog running. The male, who was travelling by bus from Mount Isa, was located by police in Tennant Creek last Thursday.

He was found to be in the possession of 14 casks of 4.4 litre wine which police believe he intended to sell. The liquor was destroyed.
The male was also arrested in relation to a crash on the Barkly Hwy on Friday 4 May during another alleged attempted grog run. The car was significantly damaged and the male left the scene. 24 casks of 4.4 litre wine were located hidden in the surrounding area and subsequently destroyed by police.
He was charged with unlawful use of motor vehicle, drive while unlicensed, fail to report a crash, sell liquor without a licence
He was bailed to appear at Tennant Creek Local Court on September 18.
