On October 20 this year, Mayor Joyce McCulloch will host the Spring Charity Evening, hoping to raise enough money to buy vital equipment for Mount Isa Hospital.
“Currently, without having certain equipment, some babies are being transferred to Townsville or Brisbane for treatment, which places immense stress on families.
We want to keep them here and help them to receive care in their own community.” Cr McCulloch said.
Helping the Mayor and her event committee to raise funds will be acclaimed Australian actor, Shane Jacobson, who will emcee the evening and is excited to be a part of the charity event.
Cr McCulloch said the evening would be a chance for the council and the community to enjoy a wonderful evening while raising money for such a worthy cause.
“I invite everyone to buy a ticket and have a beautiful evening out with friends, and support the Special Care Nursery,” Cr McCulloch said.
The event will be held at the Civic Centre, and will feature a fresh and whimsical spring theme, gourmet hot and cold canapes, exquisite cheese and dessert platters, full bar service, lucky door prizes, live entertainment, raffles, auctions and plenty of fun and surprises.
Individual tickets valued at $100 will be available to purchase through the Mount Isa Civic Centre at 9.00am on Monday 03 September 2018.
