Safe schools
In his maiden speech in the Senate, Bob Katter's little mate and self-confessed Christian Fraser Anning attacked the Safe Schools program.

But there are some questions which he himself must answer.
Why did problems with this program appear only after Tony Abbott was overthrown?
When oh-so-Christian Prime Minister Tony Abbott himself introduced it, Christians were quite happy with it.
So, did Saint Tony make a mistake?
If so, why didn't our eager-beaver Christians pick it up at the time?
Back then, why were they simply unconcerned about cultural Marxism and the safety of our poor little children?
Is there any connection between that lack of concern and their other lack of concern about child abuse by Christians all over the country?
Are Christians like Fraser Anning worried about Safe Schools now because it's the only way they can hope to divert attention from Cardinal Pell, the Catholic Archbishop of Adelaide and the Anglican Archbishop of Brisbane who became Governor-General?

Not what I expected
Having expected to see some letters condemning Bob Katter for his support of Fraser Anning's deplorable speech, what did we see in the Star (21 August)?
Some fluff piece from Bob himself.
Strange choice.

Bob is painful for voters
Watching Kennedy MP Bob Katter defend his new Senator’s despicable first speech in Parliament would have been a painful event for many Kennedy voters.
Not only did Bob expose his hateful personna but his totally incoherent rant showed that he is a waste of space as a Member of Parliament.
In the TV interview, his denial of his Lebanese heritage could be a true gauge of his current grasp of reality, on top of which he did not even show up in Parliament for the most important day of the year, when a Prime MInister was under siege.
For close to thirty years of representing the people of Kennedy his achievements have been nil, but his claims to other peoples success have been plentiful.
It would be an affront to voters if he again stood for Kennedy, he has already done too much damage to our prosperity.
