Mr Byrne had written to the Palace enclosing newspaper cuttings and a CD of radio audio about the event.
In response the Queen’s lady in waiting Mary Morrison wrote a letter to Mr Byrne thanking him for his newspaper articles on the subject.
“The Queen greatly appreciates your continuing loyal support and I am to thank you, very much, for your thought for Her Majesty at this time,” Ms Morrison said.
Queensland’s Government House also thanked him for the information which they said Governor Paul De Jersey had read “with considerable interest”.
Mr Byrne hosted his annual morning tea at the library on Monday, June 11 to celebrate the 92nd birthday of Queen Elizabeth II.
