Cloncurry’s parkrun is on every Saturday at 7am at Mary K park but this weekend they are getting into the swing of the town’s party mood.
Parkrun Cloncurry coordinator Denis Imhof is encouraging people to take part on the Saturday as part of the Cloncurry Council Beat the heat festival.
“We have chosen a spring race theme to coincide with the spring races in the afternoon,” Mr Imhof said.
“To add a bit of fun to the event and dress up as well as bring people out that haven’t done a parkrun before.”
Parkrun starts at Mary K park at 6.50am for a 7am start for a easy km walk or run at your own pace.
There is no cost to partake and there will be a light breakfast afterwards.
However if want your time to be recorded you need to register with parkrun Australia online and print out the bar code that comes with your registration.
