A strong field of ladies teed off at Mount Isa Golf Club for the 18-hole Stableford competition making the most of perfect golfing conditions.
Fangrath survived a count back from Michelle Cullen to take the win with Cullen relegated to runner up spot after both carded an impressive 38 stableford points. Ball run down honours were awarded to Angie Sciascia for her 37 points, Kirra White and Ulla Allen both with 36 points and close behind Glenda Fietz with 34 points.
Pin shots were once again shared around with Kirra White on hole 2, Glenda Fietz on hole 5 and Angie Sciascia on hole 14.
Competitors also battled it out in the mid-week competition on Wednesday for the Topfire Constructions trophy in the second monthly medal event for September.
Sandra Beattie took first place honours with an impressive nett score of 68, three shots in front of runner up Danielle Burns on 71.
Ulla Allen took the pin shots on holes 2 and 8 with Liz Jakeman taking the final pin shot on hole 14.
Following the close of play, September’s monthly medals were decided with Kirra White coming up trumps in the silver division with 77 nett, Ulla Allen’s 73 nett claimed Bronze 1 and Sandra Beattie claimed Bronze 2 with 68 nett.
The putting champions were Ulla Allen and Sandra Beattie with 31 putts.
