Epic is partnering with Multicom Resources Ltd o facilitate the approvals for the Saint Elmo Project, located 25km east of Julia Creek. Epic are inviting any interested member of the community to learn more about the proposed Saint Elmo Project and have the opportunity to provide feedback and ask questions.
The information session will be held from 4-6pm Wednesday September 19 at the Julia Creek Civic Centre.
Multicom, a Queensland based exploration and mining company, have been working on the Saint Elmo Project since 2014 when exploration activities revealed significant amounts of vanadium within the sedimentary rocks in the area. Multicom is targeting first production of vanadium pentoxide in early 2021.
Global vanadium demand is increasing, as it makes steel both lighter weight and higher strength as well as being an important part of our renewable energy future, in vanadium redox flow batteries. Epic said the Saint Elmo Project would help Queensland capitalise on this important opportunity.
