Organiser Alison Whitehead is arranging a World Challenge trip for Mount Isa students in December 2019.
“Most World Challenge trips are organised through a school, but Mount Isa and the surrounding towns, has the unique opportunity to participate as a united team,” Ms Whitehead said.
“During the trip, students will plan their itinerary and will have the opportunity to hike ancient rainforests, see giant golden gods, raft the Kampar River or team up with local conservation efforts to protect turtle breeding beaches,” she said.
World Challenge builds the life skills young people need to live a life of courage, kindness and adventure.
The best things in life often aren’t free.
Earning it is part of the satisfaction you’ll feel when you finally get on expedition.
It also teaches some powerful, lifelong lessons about money management; the value of money, how to budget and negotiate.
