A service will be held at 11am on Saturday September 22, at Julia Creek Catholic Church.
National Police Remembrance Day each year holds a special significance to police throughout Australia and the Pacific region, and is one of the most important events on the Queensland Police Service calendar.
It is a day where members of the police and the community remember those officers who have given their lives in the course of their duties.
National Police Remembrance Day is also a time to remember both sworn and unsworn members of the police service who lost their lives through illness, accident or other circumstances in the course of their duties.
Attendees of the service are also invited to meet at Godiers Friendly Grocers following the service to pay for coffee and lunch.
There be more services next week across the region for National Police Remembrance Day..
