The Sedan Dip committee has acknowledged and thank its campdraft judges at the recent rodeo, races and campdraft weekend.

The annual event was held the weekend after Mount Isa Rodeo on August 17-19 and the committee has praised its judges for the weekend “who worked tirelesssly to get through a lot of runs in a big program”.
They were Cheyne Williams - Maiden for Maiden, Clint and Wendy Wockner - Novice and Maiden, Evan Acton - Mini, Junior and Juvenile and John Paine - Ladies and Open.
“A big thanks also to Kim Simms who kept us up to speed with the action and scores throughout the weekend on the mic,” the committee said.
Winners included Meg Bailey on Kitten in the juvenile draft, Lexie Leake on Stitch in the mini draft, Madison Hall on Curio in the junior draft, Allan Hick on Joog in the maiden draft, Ben Stanger on Swift in the novice draft and Danielle Everingham on Ellie in the ladies draft.
The Spoonbill Open Campdraft also sponsored by Keyes Cattle co needed a run-off between Ashley Harrison and Ben Hall with Harrison coming out the eventual winner.
First Ashley Harrison on Kirkbys Stud Dreams Charity, second Ben Hall on Classy Dove and third Jaye Hall on Santa Rio.
Kadence Wilson was the recipient of the Peyton Wilson Best Effort Award judged by Maurie and Anne Hick and Patrice Elliot.
