Club president Lyn White said they were holding the birthday party in place of their monthly meeting with photos and memorabilia from the early days.
“The last couple of years have been good and we’ve managed to get some new members so we think we are doing well,” Ms White said.
“Cherry Brosnan is here and she is our last remaining foundation member.”
Ms Brosnan said she was one of around 40 women who started the club in 1993.
“I’m very proud to be a member of this club because it helps other women,” Ms Brosnan said.
“That’s what we try to do, help women and children and improve their status and their way of life. What I love about Zonta is the opportunity to give back to my community that has been so good to me for 69 years.”
