The inferno had been burning for the past few days, but firefighters had it completely extinguished until this morning.
Acting fire station officer Paul Sorensen said firefighters were called back to the golf course at about 11:20 on Wednesday morning when the flames flared up again.
He said the fire is not being treated as suspicious.
Despite massive plumes of smoke wafting from behind the twelfth hole, people were still putting on the course.
