Over the weekend you may have seen bike riders dress up in their finest glad rags and all in very good cause.
On Sunday the Distinguished Gentleman's Ride attracted 41 riders and despite its name it was open to women.
The DGR is an Australian-born charity initiative where 90,000 participants globally donned vintage clothing and ride classic motorcycles to raise money for prostate cancer and men's mental health research.
The Mount Isa ride raised over $6000 for the cause. It started from Outback at Isa and rode around town with a stop off at the Restored Car Club near the airport for refreshments before finishing up at the Overlander for lunch.
Organiser Peter Roberts was joined in his Chan Jiang Vietnamese issue motorcycle by Kael Lovelock in the sidecar.
Young Kael was diagnosed with Langerhands cell histiocytosis just 10 months old.
Founded in 2012 by Mark Hawwa in Sydney, the Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride has raised over $13 million for charity since 2013.
