With just over a week until the Mayor’s Spring Charity fundraising event, more than $20,000 worth of prizes have been added to the raffle pool, giving attendees the chance to score some fantastic prizes while helping the babies of Mount Isa Hospital’s special care nursery.

Mayor Joyce McCulloch said thousands of dollars’ worth of art had been donated, along with holidays, beauty and hair packages, Jonathon Thurston meets and greets sports memorabilia, and more.
“We’ve had a lot of sponsors come on board this year, especially after hearing of the cause, and we’re so grateful,” Cr McCulloch said.
“The evening will be a special time for friends and colleagues to enjoy a night out, while raising funds to help but vital equipment for the community’s littlest and most vulnerable….the newborn babies in need of care.”
The October 20 event will feature a delicious menu of hot and cold canapes, cheese and dessert platters, full bar service, live entertainment, raffles, lucky door prizes, photo booth, and MC Shane Jacobson.
Tickets are $100 each, and are available from the Civic Centre. For more information, visit the council website.
All proceeds will go to the Special Care Nursery, Mount Isa Hospital.
