With only a few days until applications close, the North West Hospital and Health Board Chair, Paul Woodhouse, urges interested members of the community to consider applying for the NWHHS Board.

Mr Woodhouse said key priorities for the NWHHS include seeking an improvement in Indigenous health outcomes and lessening the overall burden of disease.
“Working with our key strategic partners, there are a number of exciting initiatives underway in the region,” Mr Woodhouse said.
“If you share our passion for delivering better health for North Queensland communities, I strongly encourage you to consider submitting an application.”
Board chairs and members are appointed by the Governor-in-Council, on the recommendation of the Minister for Health and Minister for Ambulance Services, and are accountable to the Minister for local performance.
Positions are part-time and remunerated in accordance with Queensland Government guidelines.
They start in May 2019, with terms of up to four years.
