The Mount Isa Theatrical Society has released their “virgin guide” for those who have not attended the annual event before.
1. Come dressed up
This is your chance to get your corsets and fishnets and really go wild with many iconic Rocky characters to come as... but don't fear – if this is not for you, we get many "party go-ers" too, or maybe the conservative 'Dr. Scott" might be your style?
But do come in theme, as it tends to be the ones who don’t dress up that stand out.
2. You get to throw stuff
Well, it is an audience participation night after all.
Available for purchase on the night are participation kits with all you will need to really feel like you are part of the movie.
3. You probably won’t “hear” much of the movie
Usually it is considered rude to speak during a movie, but a true RHPS fan knows it considered rude not to speak back to the screen.
The fun of this cult night relies heavily on calling back at the screen.
4. More information
The event showing the 1975 musical starring Tim Curry will be held at the Mount Isa Theatrical Society on Saturday October 20.
There is limited seating at the much anticipated movie night so film buffs are encouraged to lock their seats in quickly.
You can pick up a ticket for $20 at Impulse Boutique.
There will be a competition for best dressed on the night, audience participation kits available for purchase, and alcohol for purchase.
The fun will kick off from 7pm till late.
MITS hosts the Rocky Horror Picture Show movie night each year to celebrate the cult classic.
The story centres on a young couple whose car breaks down near a castle occupied by strangers in elaborate costumes celebrating an annual convention.
