Schools from across the region took part with 13 acts in all which were judged on costumes, backdrops, choreography and overall effect.
Judges Cr Jean Ferris, dance teacher Sally Prendergast, ABC’s Kemii Maguire, Mel from Hit 102.5 and Stuart Reid from Mount Isa Mines had a hard time judging as did Cr Phil “Maths” Barwick who had to do all the tallying up of scores.

Meanwhile Chris Pocock and Zara Margolis kept the show moving as MCs.
But the real stars were the kids on stage.
Some schools had been practicising for two months while others like the students of Mount Isa School of the Air only had since Wednesday to get together and work on their routines.
John Davis from Apex thanked fellow Apex members and everyone who volunteered on the night as well as the schools, teachers, students and parents that took part.
“Thank you to the teachers who put in so much effort and thank you to the students for doing it,” Mr Davis said.
