Final score was 13-10 to Warrigals.
Cloncurry coach David Hall said the team was filled out with a few new players who helped to bolster their attack.
“I thought the game was played well on both sides,” Hall said.
“It was a physical encounter upfront and was well run by both back lines, but we weren't able to penetrate their defence to get up.
“It really was a testament to the new players who came up with solid structure for the game on the weekend,” he said.
This weekend sees are the final two games of round one.
Cloncurry will take on Euros at 6pm before Warrigals and Keas take to the field at 7:30pm.
“We are feeling fairly confident, we have a good game plan and set structure we hope to follow to get us across the line for a win,” Hall said.
The Cloncurry team is always looking for new players.
“Our team is called the Question Marks because we are an open team with a lot of shift workers made up from Cloncurry, Julia Creek, McKinlay and Mount Isa,” Hall said.
“Our team is always open for new players and people that want to play the game of rugby.”
