Mount Isa City Council was delighted to hand out more than $17,000 to community groups and events in the round 2 of community grants and sponsorships.

The October 10’s council meeting presentations included representatives from the Mount Isa Pistol Club and BUSHkids.
Deputy Mayor Phil Barwick congratulated each recipient group on their successful application and wished them well for their upcoming projects.
The Mount Isa Pistol Club was awarded $4840 to enable the repainting of their club facilities.
The new paint job was in place by the end of the month.
BUSHkids will use their funding amount of $4615 to create and “Outdoor Family Garden”.
Mount Isa City Council were also pleased to award a sponsorship amount of $3000 to Commerce North West for their event, 2018 Northern Outback Business Awards, and $5390 to St Joseph’s Catholic School for their event, St Joseph’s Catholic School P & F Christmas Fair 2018.
