The event was hosted by Isa Highlanders at the Mount Isa Civic Centre.
Isa Highlanders secretary Leonie Winks said it’s an annual competition which seeks to showcase the skills and technique of all the dancers.
Jess Cooper is 32-years-old and has been competing since she was nine.
Jess said she enjoys the dancing because it’s something different.
“It connects people around the world because it’s a global sport,” she said.
Jess has travelled to Scotland to compete in international competitions.
While Jess admits her feet get sore, she forgets about the pain when she is on the stage.
“The adrenaline kicks in and you just zone out,” she said.
