On Sunday afternoon the largest attendance for a show at the Mount Isa Civic Centre swarmed to the sell out performance of the DiLi Dance Showcase.

Dance Instructor Sally Prendergast said people were queuing out the door half an hour before show time, still trying to buy tickets.
The dance stage-show started at 2pm on Sunday December 2 and partnered up with the Mount Isa Irish Assocation – Dean Studio.
“The kids were amazing - full of smiles and big energy,” Ms Prendergast said.
“They had the crowd cheering from start to finish.”
Ms Prendergast said she received so many messages of congratulation and support.
“People were impressed by the costuming, the entertainment and that the kids were all having a blast doing what they love,” she said.
After the success of this years concert Ms Prendergast has big plans for the future of DiLi Dance showcase.
“We are going to do two shows next year.
“A junior school show for our littlest dancers - a fun show in the morning that will run under an hour, and then our main show in the afternoon.”
The mega performance had a team of staff helping backstage.
“They helped get the dancers get changed and keep everything running smoothly.”
“I am incredibly grateful to all the parents who allow their children to be part of DiLi and I am also humbled by the huge community support for , particularly for the dance showcase.
“In only our second year - this was truly an unforgettable experience. We have over 400 bookings already for next year and I can’t wait to do it all again in 2019,” she said.
