After winning the toss BTQ was on fire smashing a six and a four in the opening over.
PCYC Branch Support Officer Mace Bennett said after that Quamby tightened there line with the ball and got the run rate under control.
“Quamby let a few costly opportunities go with some dropped catches in the field but they managed to keep BTQ to a moderate score of 5/117,” Bennett said.
The opening batsmen for Quamby, Mark McMillan and Mace Bennett, hit a combined run rate of 35 which bought them back into the match.
“BTQ was building pressure with the ball however no wickets were falling, so they bought in Sanchit Rathee.”
“The leg spinner payed off with a few quick wickets falling to some safe hands in the field.”
Mark McMillan was the stand out batsman making 21 from 19 balls.
Batsman of the match Rob Leigh retired for 32 from 32 balls.
Bowler Aaron Harrison took out 2/26.
