Half of Cr Vicky Campbell’s donation went towards St Joseph’s science department. Cr Campbell said she planned to study vet science at university before circumstances changed, forcing her to stay home and work.
“It feels nice to make a contribution towards resources I feel passionate about. Our children are the future and it’s important we invest in them,” Cr Campbell said.
Cr Brad Rix donated to Cloncurry Soccer Club, Cloncurry State School Deadly Dancers and Jump Stars, and St Joseph’s Catholic School Rock Pop group.
Cloncurry State School teacher Jo Walters thanked Cr Damien McGee for his donation will help pay for a new water cooler and bubbler system at the school in 2019.
