Recent ARIA winner Kasey Chambers and The Living End join Midnight Oil, in their first appearance on Australia since their "Great Circle World Tour” ended in November 2017.
They will be joined by a whole host of other rockers across the three day festival including Richard Clapton, 1927, Wendy Matthews and Neil Murray.
Abba tribute band Bjorn Again will give a Priscilla Queen of the Desert touch to proceedings with the band said they were thrilled to be in the line-up in their 30th anniversary year.
“We just hope our Bell 47 (helicopter) will make it all the way to Birdsville,” the band said.
“We’re not sure how all our white sparkly satins will hold up in the desert with all that red sand and dust – but we’re willing to give it a bash.”
The festival takes place in the red sands of the Simpson Desert against the backdrop of the 40-metre-high Big Red Dune, 35km west of Birdsville.
Hosted 16-18 July 2019, families, music fans and experience seekers travel thousands of kilometres to the festival for a unique and memorable adventure.
The Big Red Bash won “best festival” award at the Outback Tourism Queensland Awards and event founder and organiser Greg Donovan said its success was about it being more than just a music festival.
“It’s an incredible destination for travellers and adventure seekers alike,” Mr Donovan said.
Tickets can be purchased through the Big Red Bash website.
