At around 7pm on Friday December 28, a 41-year-old Doomadgee woman was intercepted on Goodeedawa Road for a licence check. The woman did not hold a current driver licence.

Officers reasonably suspected she may have been under the influence of dangerous drugs and was transported to Doomadgee Base Hospital for a blood analysis.
The woman has been charged with driving under the influence of a drug and unlicenced driving. She is due to appear in the Doomadgee Magistrates Court on April 3.
Saturday December 29 – At around 11.30am, a 36-year-old Soldiers Hill man was intercepted on West Street for the purpose of a roadside drug test (RDT) and returned a positive result for methamphetamine and cannabis. A second analysis returned another positive reading.
Sunday December 30 – At around 9.30am, a 46-year-old Katherine man was intercepted on the Barkly Highway in Mount Isa for the purpose of an RDT and returned a positive result for methamphetamine and cannabis. A second analysis returned another positive reading.
Sunday December 30 – At around 10am, a 51-year-old Parkside man was intercepted on Grace Street for the purpose of an RDT and returned a positive result for cannabis. A second analysis returned another positive reading.
All three men were charged with drug driving, issued with a 24 hour driver licence suspension notice and are due to appear in Mount Isa Magistrates Court on Feb 20.
Tuesday January 1 – At around 10.45am, a 31-year-old Victorian man was intercepted on the Barkly Highway, in relation to a traffic offence.
The man submitted to a Roadside Drug Test and recorded a positive result to methamphetamine and cannabis. A second analysis also returned a positive result.
The man was issued with a 24 hour driver licence suspension notice, was charged with drug driving and will appear in the Mount Isa Magistrates Court on February 20.
