“The work is due to be completed by June 2019 and will be fully funded by the Federal Government under Round 2 of the Safer Communities Fund. The project will cost $185,000.
“To complement the 14 new CCTV cameras, safety floodlighting will also be installed at various locations identified by police as hotspots across the city and CBD, including the rear of Kmart Plaza, the Lookout, the Gardner Street park, Abel Smith Parade, the intersection of Short Street and Kaeser Road, and the Skate Park.
“This project will cost $326,300 and will also be completely funded by the Federal Government, under the Safer Communities Fund.”
