The Police Citizens Youth Club (PCYC) have released a program of events which will keep the local children busy.
Around 150 young people have been participating in the January school holiday program.
Acting Senior Constable Aimee Sewell said we’ve had a lot of positive feedback about the program from the children and their families.
Over the next two and a half weeks the young ones can participate in movie nights, disco’s, chillin’ in the park and a skate park competition.
On Friday January 11 and 18, a movie night will be held at the Old Woolies Car park in Pioneer.
The movies start at 7pm and finish at 9.30pm.
The youth can boogie on down to the Old Woolies Car park for a disco on Wednesday 16 and 23 from 7pm-9.30pm.
Constable Sewell said the event is fully supervised by adults, police officers and PLO’s.
“We play a range of music at the disco and even take requests,” she said.
All the events are free and food is supplied.
