She is an entrant in the Mount Isa Rodeo Queen Quest and is loving the journey she has embarked on.
“I chose the Royal Flying Doctor Service because I’ve had pretty extensive dealings with them when my younger son was seven months old,” Ms Pigliafliori said.
“He was flown to Townsville because he had intussusception, which is where one part of your intestine — usually the small intestine — slides inside an adjacent part of the large bowel. It happened a couple of times so I always said, I’d give back to them.
“They do so much to help individuals within the community,” she said.
Ms Pigliafliori has many fun activities planned for all age groups in the region.
“Coming up, I have a kids back to school glow disco, and on February 14, Valentines Day, I have a hamper event.
“I’ll be selling all kinds of his and her hampers for that special day.”
In March the effervescent Rodeo Queen entrant will join in with the Kids Colour Run, but a major event on the horizon is her Black, White and Bling Masquerade Ball.
The event will be held on Saturday March 23 and tickets are $80.
Ms Pigliafliori said she loves the organisation of the events especially when all the entrants come together and discuss what they have planned and how they will accomplish it.
“We’ve also had a deportment dinner together and coming up is the combined Easter egg delivery, where we all jump on board however my favourite part in this journey is being out in the community and meeting people.
“Getting to know members of the town a little better, and hearing their uplifting stories about how the Royal Flying Doctor Service has helped them.”
