Just a day after Beale apologised for appearing in an old video from 2016 laughing at a man consuming a white power, another emerged on Wednesday also appearing to involve an illicit drug.

The latest video, recorded in 2015 according to the Nine Network, showed Beale playing with a vacuum cleaner like a didgeridoo before the footage panned to a plate with several lines of white powder.

There was no suggestion Beale consumed any illicit drugs in either of the videos.

However Rugby Australia is now waiting on the star playmaker to return from a holiday in New Zealand, when it's expected he'll be hauled in over the footage.

Rugby Australia confirmed late on Thursday that it had made contact with Beale in New Zealand about the issue but details on how it would follow up on the matter had yet to be locked in.

It comes after no punishment was served for the initial video, with the governing body happy to accept it had been filmed well in the past.

"Kurtley has today met with Rugby Australia's Integrity Unit to provide his version of events and the high standards that are expected of him as a professional Rugby player have been firmly reiterated," chief executive Raelene Castle said after the first video surfaced.

"Kurtley acknowledges that his presence in the video and the humour he expressed at the incident at the time does not reflect the image that is expected of a professional rugby player."

The 30-year-old has endured a difficult few months, after he was stood down for a Test against England on the Wallabies' spring tour for breach of team protocol, when he and Adam Ashley-Cooper had allowed two women into their hotel room.

One of the women was Ashley-Cooper's sister-in-law and Castle confirmed at the time there was no suggestion of anything inappropriate.
