Media and Advertising Officer Alison Whitehead said as the water continues to get lower, the sharp rocks have been creating havoc for paddlers and swimmers alike.
With assistance from the Isa Rats, many volunteers spent a number of hours shoveling and raking the waters edge.
“The Gregory River Canoe Marathon is only five months away and the triathlon season about to start, our glorious lake is about to see a lot more action,” Ms Whitehead said.
“Hopefully the rains are not too far away, the water height will rise, the grass will green up and grow, the never ending weed will die off and this beautiful recreation facility will be an enjoyment to families and the community once again.”
The North West Canoe Club extended thanks to North West Metals, M & M Roadways, Q-Crush, Remploy and Will Webber.
