Police are seeking help from the public in relation to Tuesday's fatal crash on the Barkly Hwy 40km west of Cloncurry.

Police are appealing for any witnesses travelling between Mount Isa and Cloncurry between 2.30pm and 4.30 pm who may have observed any vehicle driving in a manner which they may have described as erratic.
Police are also seeking any dashcam footage from around that time.

A truckie died after a road train and a ute collided on the Barkly Highway 4.50pm Tuesday.
The driver of the truck, a 32-year-old man, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the ute, a 48-year-old man, was transported to Mount Isa Hospital for treatment minor injuries.
The road was closed for 15 hours following the crash.
