The vehicles were stolen from the Discovery Parks caravan site on Little West Street between 10.30pm on Tuesday March 12 and 2am Wednesday March 13.
Mount Isa Police said a group of youths gained entry to the annex of the caravan site.
"It is alleged they removed a wallet, two money tins and the two sets of vehicle keys before using the keys to drive off in the vehicles and commit subsequent traffic offences," the police spokesperson said.
Police attended the registered owner’s address to conduct enquiries after observing a vehicle driving in a suspicious manner on Camooweal St before it turned onto Dora St, and found the owner was unaware their two vehicles had been stolen.
The marked police vehicle turned into Lorraine St, intending to intercept the vehicle and activated their lights and siren, however the vehicle evaded police, before accelerating away from the scene.
There have been a few public reported sightings of both vehicles driving dangerously on Abel Smith Parade, in the early hours of Wednesday morning and these vehicles are still missing.
Police ask residents to keep an eye out for the two vehicles:
A 2018 White Ford Ranger, dual cab utility, bearing QLD registration 308YNK.
and a 2018 White Toyota Landcruiser, bearing QLD registration 172YAJ.
