Discussions revolved around encouraging and empowering Camooweal locals to be more proactive within the community.
One of the initiatives discussed was to develop a youth focused community group for the town and incorporate it so as to be eligible for funding for future events and activities.
The group will also focus on creating social gathering events for all ages, as well as working towards upgrading Camooweal to become a more inviting place to stay for residents and tourists.
Camooweal is the hub of the Northern Territory and Queensland border and has a lot to offer.
The group is looking forward to continuing a positive relationship between the Service and Camooweal residents, as they continue efforts to become a more thriving community.
