Queensland Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk said the Council would be hosting a Beef, Beach and Beats Community Picnic.
"The Beef, Beach and Beats Community Picnic is going to be a fun day celebrating everything quintessentially Queensland in the Mount Isa community, and will highlight the importance of supporting local farmers," the Premier said.
"The event will include a free barbecue and showcase some stellar entertainment."
Mount Isa Council is one of nine organisations to have successfully applied for funding under the Queensland Day Sponsorship Program.
"These celebrations will encourage all community members, as well as visitors to the area, to recognise Queensland's 160th anniversary in a way that reflects our unique culture, heritage and aspirations," the Premier said.
"Queenslanders will have many fabulous opportunities to join in the statewide celebrations for 2019 Queensland Day and I urge everyone to participate."
Queensland Day marks the State's official separation from New South Wales on 6 June 1859.
Community groups were invited to apply for up to $15,000 in funding to host Queensland Day events between 1 and 9 June 2019.
